Searching the TUCS Publications
The TUCS publication database contains references to publications from researchers affiliated with TUCS. You can search for publications by a researcher or within a field of research by entering the name of the author or a keyword in the text field.
You can also choose the year of publication and the type of publication (book, chapter in book, journal, article in conference proceedings, Ph.D. or Ph.Lic. thesis, or technical report).
Using the Advanced Search you can also search for publications from a specific research laboratory. The output of the search can be chosen as HTML, BibTeX, PDF or RTF.
The text search field understands a number of different operators:
- + Inclusion
- A leading plus indicates that the following word must be present in the result.
- - Exclusion
- A leading minus indicates that the following word must not be present in the result.
- * Truncation
- Use the truncation operator when the complete spelling of a search term is unknown, or when variations of a search term needs to be found. The asterisk should be appended to a word.
- " Literal
- A phrase enclosed in double quotes matches all publications that contain the phrase exactly as it was typed.

- Find publications that contain at least one of these words.
- +neural +networks
- Find publications that contain both words.
- +neural networks
- Find publications that contain at least one of these words, with publications having the word "neural" ranked higher.
- +neural -training
- Find publications that contain the word "neural" but not "training".
- network*
- Find publications that contain the word "network" but also "networks", "networking", "network-on-a-chip" etc.
- "neural network"
- Find publications that contain the phrase "neural network" but not for example "neural computations in a network".
The text search field searches trough the following data of a
publication:
Author(s), Title, Project, Full abstract text, Keywords, Editor(s),
Publisher, Series, Organisation, Edition, ISBN, School and Institution
