First NMS iICT certificates awarded
TUCS awarded the first two NMS iICT certificates. The certificates were awarded to Niklas Bornstein and Olivier Varin, who graduated from the Computer Science and Engineering Master's Programme in DTU Informatics, Technical University of Denmark.
Nordic Master School in Innovative ICT – NMS iICT is a network of the International Master Programmes at five world-class scientific universities in the Nordic countries: the University of Turku (UTU) and the Åbo Akademi University (ÅAU) in Finland, the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Sweden, the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) and the Tallinn University of Technology (TTÜ) in Estonia. This global Innovation Powerhouse offers high expertise in research based iICT education.
It is befitting to NMS iICT that the first certificates were signed in Turku, by the current Director of TUCS, Johan Lilius, who is also the Director of the Deparment of Information Technologies of the Åbo Akademi University for two Master's Graduates of the DTU Informatics of the Technical University of Denmark in Copenhagen.
