Undergraduate Studies

The departments participating in TUCS are offering education leading to university Bachelor's and Master's degrees. The first part of the studies (up to Bachelor's level) is mainly conducted in the language of instruction of each university: in Finnish at the University of Turku and at the Turku School of Economics and Business Administration, and in Swedish at Åbo Akademi University. The rest (the advanced level studies) is conducted in English and the students can choose courses from all three universities.

In 1998, the Finnish Ministry of Education decided to start a national program in order to expand the education in the area of Information Technology. As a result of this, the universities participating in TUCS get 120 new student positions annually. TUCS is responsible for coordinating the expansion. This is done through different workgroups.

Altogether the departments offer nine education programs. Please read more about the programs at the departments' own web sites.
