A course is a regular advanced level course which is part of the curriculum of some study program. Regular courses are normally lectured 1-3 times a week and lasts for a full (or at least a half) term, depending on how many credits the course gives.

Seminars do not necessarily include any lectures, except perhaps for a short introduction to the topic. Instead, the participants present and discuss research papers.

Short courses are typically given by a researcher visiting the TUCS. They are normally much more intense than regular courses, with lectures each day or every second day during a short period of time (one or two weeks).
