Software architecture forms the backbone for building successful software-intensive systems. The aim of the Summerschool on Software Architecture is to give a comprehensive overview of the different aspects of this important field.

    Registration form should be received by the organizers by May 15, 2001.

    Academic participants

    The registration form (only for the academic participants). The form contains details about fees etc. The conference fee covers meals and refreshments during the school as well as the lecture material and the social events. The accommodation is not included in this fee.

     LOCATION AND TRAVEL 

    The summer school takes place in the Turku Technology Centre in the city of Turku. Turku is situated in the southwestern corner of Finland. It is reachable by air both via Helsinki and via Stockholm in Sweden. From Helsinki you can also travel by bus or by train to Turku. The journey takes some 2 hours. From Stockholm there are two boat lines to Turku through a beautiful archipelago. The boat trip takes 8-10 hours. Accommodation will be organized in the centre of Turku.

     GRANTS 

    Grants can be applied to cover expenses of young researchers that wish to participate. 
  • Young researchers (aged 35 years or under) on postgraduate or postdoctorate level who are citizens of European Union member states or associated states can apply for a grant that covers registration and accommodation expenses using this form
  • Baltian and northwest russian researchers can apply for grant using this form
  • Deadline: Applications for grants should be sent in by May 15, 2001.

    Notification: Applicants will be notified by June 15, 2001. The organisers will make the final decision about the amount of the grant when all the applications have been received. In case more grants are applied for than available, the organisers will make a selection.
